Another insurance company is going to issue the Initial Public Offering from 14th December 2020. We are talking about Prabhu Life Insurance  Limited. Prabhu Life Insurance company is one of the operating life insurance companies of Nepal.





Prabhu Life Insurance Company Limited is going to issue sixty lakh units of initial public offering (IPO). This company had submitted an application for permission to issue IPO to the security Board of Nepal.

Prabhu Life Insurance Limited (PLIL) was formally known as Star Life Insurance. This insurance company has started its operation from December 14 2017. The Major Promoter of this insurance company are as follows :-

  • Shangrilla Development Bank Limited

Prabhu Life Insurance Limited is going to issue sixty lakh units of initial public offering (IPO). This company had submitted an application for permission to issue IPO to the security Board of Nepal. After the approval from the SEBON the company will open the application the IPO for the general public. This company will issue the 60 lakh units shares with the face value 100 which worth is Rs. Sixty Crore.

About Financial Status of the Prabhu Life Insurance Company

Prabhu Life Insurance Company has a current paid-up capital of Rs 1.40 Arba. After the issue of IPO, the capital will rise to Rs 2 Arba.  This will meet the minimum capital requirement for the life insurance companies in Nepal, as directed by Beema Samiti. In the fiscal year 2076/77, Prabhu Life Insurance Company has collected Rs 119.78 crores in total premium by selling 67,092 insurance policies. The company has made a total investment of about Rs. 2.29 Arba. Likewise, Prabhu Life Insurance has earned Rs 4.45 crores in net profit. The company has a total reserve of Rs 14.89 crores. Similarly, the life assurance fund until Ashad end, 2077 stands at Rs 1.04 Arba. Source Quarterly Report
