Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Messenger. This vacancy is open to All Interested Applicants.
The work schedule for this position is Full Time (48 hours per week).
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
DUTIES
Under the direct supervision of the Customer Support Supervisor, the incumbent performs messenger duties. The incumbent is responsible for delivering and receiving various types of documents to and from the government, non-government and private organizations. The incumbent operates dedicated motor vehicle to perform messenger duties, completes trip tickets and maintains the vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EVALUATIONS
EXPERIENCE: At least one year of general work experience in an office environment involving some familiarity with document and mail handling is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of general office procedures is required.
Education Requirements: Completion of Secondary School is required.
Evaluations: These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities).
LANGUAGE: Good Working Knowledge, Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. Good Working Knowledge, Speaking/Reading/Writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good interpersonal skills is required. Must possess a valid local class ‘B’ driver’s license.
